WHAT IS HERBAL MEDICINE?

Herbal Medicine is the ancient science & art of working with plants as medicines that foster health, vitality, and aid the healing process.

The practice of herbalism encompasses the diverse ways in which humans engage with plants across various cultures and locations.
It encompasses the preparation of nourishing foods and adding spices to your favourite dishes, brewing teas, growing and foraging plants, to working with plants more specifically for healing purposes. Even the simple act of breathing in and benefiting from the oxygen provided by plants is part of this deep connection.

Wherever there exists a profound connection with plants, herbalism often follows suit, recognising that plants are fundamentally essential to human life and well-being.

ABOUT ERIN

Erin is a Clinical Herbalist in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Australia.

Growing up in Orange, NSW, Erin was influenced by her mother's work in pharmacy and her father's farming background.
Inheriting both their love for land care and people care, Erin developed a vision of integrating these passions into a "FARMacy" philosophy. This vision took root during her studies in environmental science and regenerative agriculture.

Her deep connection to nature led her to explore foraging wild foods, where she discovered that many plants considered 'weeds' on her family farm were, in fact, valuable plant medicines. It was these weedy plants that called her to dig deeper into methods of plant healing and pursue training as a Clinical Herbalist, where this new found philosophy could finally bloom.

Passionate about cultivating, foraging, and sharing herbal medicine as a means of connecting with both the land and its people, Erin feels privileged to serve her community in this capacity.

Her educational background includes:

  • Bachelor in Health Science majoring in Herbal Medicine
(& membership with the Naturopaths and Herbalist Association of Australia)

  • Diploma in Environmental Science.

  • Permaculture Design Certificate
